heater / AC floor drains perhaps
As houm said, first you stop the water; of course easier said than done.
Re drying, lift up as much carpet as you can so it is exposed both sides and then put a household fan inside to blow air onto the wet area. Maybe a week or so, and the carpet will have dried out. That does not mean the wires under and in the door sills will also have dried - that is another challenge. Also review the heater / AC drain files within the link below. The two drains can self disconnect and dump all the AC water or rain water entering the heater/AC system onto the left and right sides of the tranny tunnel inside the 3 instead of draining thru the floor and onto the ground. I see the two related files have in excess of 1,200 views so the problem is not unknown - also not pretty easy to fix and costs nothing. https://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/thu...hp?album=30300 |

Do the original AC drains have the same silly design that the sunroof drains have? That cross-type end that clogs?

they exit near the transmission (up on the tunnel), so good chance for road grit to get stuck on it over time and clog |

Hi all
I have 2009 lr3 hse Have 80k miles Last week equipment cluster start acting up Start getting alarms such as HDC is not available , parking beak errors , tire pressure monitoring system not working ect It will drive fine until I stop and turn the engine off. It will not start for while. I took it to the dealer. They are telling me that I have bad instrument cluster It is going to cost me $1500 to replace it. Does anybody had similar issues ? Is there way to fix what is broken on the equipment cluster vs replace the whole thing Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks in advance I have the same problem with my 2007 Range rover Sport (RRS) HSE. The tire pressure lights come and go off, the parking brake light is on, and I get this message "vehicle fault, system shutting down (at times when I drive). I suspected the instrument cluster (IC) was bad (based on my reading) and a RRS dealer told me if that is the problem, a new IC needs to be made in the UK specifically for the car and the mileage. I have question, How did you get an IC and who installed it? I live in MI and I need someone around MI, IL (chicago), WI, MN that can work on the car. The dealer told me that a used part will not work for a RRS. Thanks Hello, I have the same problem with my 2007 Range rover Sport (RRS) HSE. See my post #26 above. The odds are you do not need a new instrument cluster; just unplug and replug in the single big cable that feeds all - might just fix the problem as over time the plug gets loose for whatever reason.

If anybody have a problem with instrument cluster. I fixed mine with re-soldering main processor with about 100 legs. Repair confirmed. Also if you not sure about your symptoms - try to disconnect cluster completely and turn ignition ON. Door locks lock/unlock on it's own, Emergency flasher on, NAVI not working, etc. If you have same symptoms with cluster connected, that means your cluster is going bad.

That is a big deal!

I much prefer the fix where one just unplugs and replugs that one and only connector back in. It seems on the 3's that the cable to the back of the board is perhaps a bit short and that it is pulling on the connector all the time. With temperature changes etc, the plugs works a bit loose and some of the individual connections are lost. This usually shows as one of more of the gauges not working or worse, the vehicle just will not start and no one can figure out why as battery etc seem OK. |
Has anyone tried Instrument Cluster repair service, as way to repair the CanBus lost communication problem? Can you share your experience?
