Replacing tensioner pulleys?
Hi - just getting a bit confused.
I am replacing the water pump, belts etc. I was thinking i might as well replace the pulleys that are on the tensioners. Can i just replace the pulleys and not the actual tensioner? If so - are they different pulleys?
Also, while i have the system drained, should i be doing anything else? Plan on the upper rad hose and the thermostat hose that runs on top of the cover. I think the lower hose was done already. Replace the thermostat housing? How difficult is that?
PS) like OCeanguy33 - still having a bugger of a time getting the fan clutch off. I think i am replacing it anyway...maybe i'll cut the nut...

RockAuto sells just the pulleys. But there is some confusion because the pulleys are different sizes. I ended up with two of the same based on some other info that was wrong. I still have to replace one pulley on the front most belt, the front belt if your main drive. The belt closest to the engine is the accessory. Dont forget the idler pulley also on the accessory belt. Only one belt has an idler. If you feel really ambitious you could replace the fan drive hub bearing. Not sure if they really go bad but its part of the belt system.
