Apparently, it breaks.

Is the vehicle running poorly? That looks to be in the area of the MAF - could be reading O2% for fuel mixture? Sorry I can't be of more help right off the bat. Dont really know off the top of my head as I am relatively new to the LR3 - the service manual link in the Tech sticky might help...as well as the numerous gurus on this forum.

Haha. Thanks for taking a look. Yeah, I think it may be for a sensor because it did give me a CEL.

Its for the EGR system - according to the service manual that is called the Full Load Tube. Throwing any codes?

It's the pcv hose. You now have an engine lean issue from this. As you now have unmetered air entering. You also have dirty air entering the crankcase. You now need an oil change too.

That's a bit hyperbolic

Its one of the hoses that goes from the valve cover to the intake, not the main PCV return hose. Don't be running the motor too much but in all honesty it's not the end of the world, you don't need an oil change, but you could do one if you really wanted to. Just replace the large intake tubing (or have the shop do it that broke it).

I have run that motor with no intake beyond the throttle body and nobody died...

Does anyone have a part number for this?

babyxbuffalo 02-19-2018 01:17 AM

Still on the search for this part number.

You've been running it like this for almost a year???

No, I had the shop replace the part. But I've still been wondering what the part number was for future reference.
