Engine Tech Machine in Santa Maria, California with a 24hr turn around time on resurfacing the heads!

24 hrs is impressive. How much did they take off? Are you going to use head shims? I'm still waiting on my machine shop

I was told that only about 0.008 was taken off. Not enough to need shims.

What's the cutoff? I'm still waiting to hear from my machine shop regarding how warped my head's are

I'm not aware of a cutoff, but I'm not concerned about 0.008. Did you come across any specs for that?

Getting the heads back together this weekend. Looks like I'll have to get some new tappets to set the exhaust valve lash back to spec (.25mm +/- 0.02). I'm closer to 0.3 to 0.38. Not surprising after 120k miles though. At least the intake side is hydraulically adjusted.

Any idea where to find the left hand thread crank pulley bolt - that says 12.9 on the front. The only part number I can find LR011952 does not mention reverse thread. Also, do I need one of those spacers too?
