Auto Tire Shop Service Advice - Precautions

I recently was told by a "mechanic" that certain procedures must be followed when having tires changed on a Land Rover with air suspension by means of a lift at an Auto Tire Shop (i.e. all four wheels off the ground). That if the proper precautions are not taken, the vehicle (when turned off) will be self-seeking to adjust the suspension (while on the rack) as well as the passenger restraint airbags could actually be deployed, That's scary!

I did denote that in the Owner's Manual LR recommends that the air suspension be set to off-road height when changing a (single) tire using the vehicle's supplied jack but take that as an added safety feature that makes it easier to remove/install the tire.

So what's the deal? If I take my LR4 in for a all-4-wheel tire change or even a rotation, are there steps that need to be taken to avoid the suspension from self-seeking or worse a possible air-bag deployment?

Thanks to those who contribute.

What he said. Mine has been on the lift many times with all four tires off the ground.
