Bluetooth Audio Streaming For LR4

I recently bought a 2011 LR4 and since it does not have bluetooth audio for listening to music, I did some research and found a lot of folks were using the Bovee 1000 bluetooth adapter that plugs into the cars native iPod port. Everyone raves about it, but I have yet to get mine working. I've got my iPhone 6 connected to the Bovee device and the car recognizes it, but after a few moments, I get a device error. Any one else experience this or know of a way to fix it?

I have the Tune2Air on my 2010 LR4 which appears to be the same device as far as I can tell. And it works perfectly

Which device is giving an error - is this the phone struggling to connect to the Bovee or is it the Bovee connection to the car?

my phone connects just fine to the bovee/tune2air, it's the car that says there is a device error. so is the bovee connection to the car. i also tried plugging in my old iPad which has the same connection directly into the car and also got a device error...

Question for the Tune2Air vs. the OEM ipod cable. Do those of you that have the Tune2Air bluetooth device have static or interruptions. How does it compare to the OEM ipod cable. I am debating the ipod cable with a 30 pin connector for my ipod or my Iphone 7. Please give me your thoughts and opinions. thanks Phil

I use mine all the time. No static, no interruptions. And I can't hear any difference in sound quality vs plugging the phone directly into the cable. But it is a lot more convenient!
