Finally moved up to 33"s - Nitto Recon Grappler, 275-60-20's. Coming off of 32" Nitto Terra Grappler 275-55-20.

I do have Johnson Rod's installed, but for whatever reason wasn't getting enough lift, over-rode them with my GAPIID tool. Needed to max out the lift to generally get them to work ok. There is still some considerable rubbing of frame horns when at full turn, and I see no way around this without grinding them down. It's not a huge deal, only really at full turn in parking lots and u-turn type situations, rubbing isn't a huge deal IMO. Makes some noise, people look, and you drive on.

A word on spacers -- for some reason, and largely due to the above posts, I thought I would need 30mm spacers to make this all work. HUGE MISTAKE, and warning to all. DO NOT USE SPACERS!! Short of story, I installed the tires with the 30mm spacers. Rubbing against inside of wheel well near frame horns was huge and unacceptable - it was tearing the body panel and pushing it out, and mangled the insulation around whatever coolant pipe is right there on the passenger side. Still thinking spacers were the way forward, I went about using a cutter to remove a portion of the wheel well cover and mudflaps (pic below).. Still didn't really solve the issue. Then I was sitting on the couch thinking about my predicament, and realized I have no idea how geometry works. It struck me that spacers actually were moving the tire closer to the wheel well and frame horns when turning, not further. Jacked it up again, removed spacers, and sure enough, no longer hitting wheel well at all..Turns out, I didn't need to cut anything away. Super awesome learning lesson (sarcasm).. another $160 later and new wheel well inserts are on order.

Overall - I do love them. The look is what I was going for. Still drives just as solid as ever. I do wish there was a bit less rubbing though. Pretty sure any type of real offroading would suck with them though -- I imagine any kind of significant obstacle/bump with the wheel turned would result in some serious frame rubbing. Also now quite certain - 33" is the max this truck can take without some serious permanent modifications.

This looks so amazing, thanks for sharing! I have a set of your 2.5 lifts on my LR3 and I'm just about to order the same tires. Also, thanks to your awesome website (https://www.johnsonrods.com/), it was easy for me to select the right tire size. These come out to 31.5 which is (apparently) the largest diameter tire that fit into the spare wheel well.
