Oil in Intake Manifold
Hello!
Just bought a 2010 and it had classic signs of needing a head gasket, and fortunately no signs or history of overheating. Just starting to get into it though and found ounces of oils sloshing around inside the intake dmanifold. I didn't see any signs of it in any of the vacuum hoses either. This has got me scratching my head pretty hard on hoiw it got there. If anyone has some experience with this, or can offer some suggestions I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Pagoda. PCV is what I was thinking last night because the adjacent vacuum hose between the valve cover and manifold has a fine coating of oil in it too.
My only other Rover ownership was a D1, and I'm pretty ignorant on the D3 - skipped over a lot of links like your suggestion because of it. How similar are the D3 and D4? Is the engine design basically the same with different displacement?
