Speedometer Noise
 

A rattle/light roar noise will come from the speedometer area when it is cold outside. The noise lasts until the heat comes on and begins to warm up the interior. The noise is loudest right before the vehicle will shift gears. Any suggestions?

Not sure if this is the same as yours but I was experiencing a growling noise behind the speedometer part of the dash. Part of the LR 45K mile service is replacing cabin filters and the dealer found a bunch of trapped leaves that the blower was trying to suck through causing the noise. Leaves were cleaned out and the noise went away.
