Transmission Shudder

FYI, I had a transmission shudder while accelerating. I put two 2 ounce tubes of Lube Guard Instant Shudder Fix into the transmission. (what a pain) The transmission shudder is completely gone. It will be interesting to see how long this lasts. Stay tuned...

Best of luck... shudder is typically the result of underperforming fluid demanding a fluid and filter change.

There are many pages on the Disco3 UK site discussing this product and only a couple of people at most had any trouble afterwards. This might be an actual usable snake oil.
Apparently at least one person out there did question why you would put snake oil in....sometimes the language gets in the way. Anyways I'm thinking I will try a tube myself, as my LR3 transmission does some slightly odd stuff.

Mine had the fluid changed about 20,000 kms ago. The vehicle has 290,000 kms. Some components in the tranny are likely nearing end of life, I suspect the torque converter. I think the snake oil was worth a try, small investment, it wont fix anything but seems to be buying some time so far.

Update: It has been over a year now, the shudder has not returned, yet.
