    Abran,

thanks for the response - I usually browse this forum but don't log in all the time so I missed your e-mail back. Anyhow, can you give me a quote for replacing the tranny fluid with a fresh flush and I think I'll upgrade to the metal pan and replaceable filter while I'm at it...should make the install a bit easier as well. my '06 LR3 has 120K on it and I've flushed all the fluids except the tranny - I could do it myself but I've been so busy that I haven't been able to get around to it yet. Love the wheels I picked up from you - painted them and slapped some 32s on them - so far so good. Anyhow, if I could get a quote from you whenever you get a chance that would be awesome...I'm not in a huge rush but would like to get it done before the camping season in a month or so.

    Thanks,

    Tony

    Hey There!
Just curious if you have any re-manufactured v8 heads in stock?
Doing a top end on a 2004 Disco.
    Thanks.

Hi Abran! Just wanted to say thanks for all the help with the wheels and for being an awesome individual all around...one note - do you work on these vehicles for a business? If so I might inquire about having the trans flushed and adding the metal pan and gasket - PM me if this is of interest to you...if not no worries I can do it when time allows....I don't need it done anytime soon just planning ahead...again thanks!

    Hi Abran,
Just got a question. Is it possible to stack the 2 oil cooler together top and bottom? I got a cooler from you and we decided to install tomorrow. I just found out that my Rover has one installed as a transmission cooler. I would like to add this as an oil cooler. Is that still possible? My other one has none but the one I use all the time could use the oil cooler as well. Thanks

Hey how are ya? You are knowledgeable or LR let me throw a question at you. Which coolant for a disco 2? Atlantic British says orange. My mechanic used orange after replacing water pump and again after the expansion tank and he's a 20 year LR Master Tech. I'm going to call him this week and hear what he has to say about it. Also when I bought the truck it was running orange coolant. Yet, everybody on the forum is saying green. I'm about to change the thermostat and will know what to do on the coolant by then but wanted to get a Senior's perspective. I live in Texas and it is hotter than hell all day, everyday. I'm talking 90+ in the AM and 100 after noon. Thanks for your reply.

I'd like to give you a call sometime but I don't want to inconvenience you. I know you're on the west coast. When would be a good time frame to call you up?

Hello, I noticed in your signature that you swapped in a 4.0 in your '04. Do you mind sharing the circumstances of that swap with me? I have heard that the 4.0 have fewer problems than the 4.6 but are extremely underpowered for our heavy trucks. I am close to buying a 2000 RR with a 4.0 that needs head gaskets and i was thinking of just swapping in a 4.6. Anyway, I'd be interested to hear about why you swapped in the 4.0.

Thanks for getting back to me.

84097, and you can put that it is going to a business to reduce shipping. Not really a parts shop, just the corporate HQ of the company I work for. And I had a few parts delivered two weeks ago that were stolen from my front porch, so I'd rather they go to my work than have a chance of walking away being delivered at home.

Also, if the shipping is crazy high, I can use my company's UPS account to send you a shipping label. They get extreme discounts on UPS ground shipments.

Do you know what you'll want for the crank and rods, excluding shipping, or do you need to pull them to find out? A ballpark number would be nice to work with, if possible.

Thanks again for getting back to me on the parts.

    1x 4.6L crankshaft
    8x 4.6L connecting rods

    That's it. Thanks!
