May 20th. They did registration so they wouldn't have 50 cars show up and last time I checked it was closed. Maybe you can get on the standby list. It's in the eastern regional section

All good. This is my first time, so I have no idea what to expect. But I would imagine it would be a riot. The list of cars attending is intense. A couple of GT4's, A GT3, couple 4S's.

Hey, are you doing the Rennslist Bucks County covered bridge tour in May?

Sounds good. The Darton liners arrived from the UK today so my first 4.6 block will be headed into the Rottler machine very soon. Bad news about the heads but it sounds like our neighbor in Lancaster got you all fixed up. The ARP studs seem to be the way to go since you can avoid all of that 'initial torque 30FtLb then turn 180 degrees' nonsense. The ARPs just get torqued to 60FtLb and done. I'm going to use those on both rebuilds. Yes, let's keep in touch. - Fred

Thanks for the update Fred. Will be interested to here how it goes. My HGs went after ~5k miles after prior owner had them done. When i got into it looks like the shop stripped the threads on some block holes and used inserts as a fix...which did not hold well. Driver side heads slightly lifted off over time and HG failed. I ended up using deeper inserts (NS300L Home Page) and ARP studs. The guy how makes the inserts is out of Lancaster, PA. Though his page doesn't say it, he has a kit for LR. So far so good. It left little time and $$ for a Crower camshaft. Maybe next year. Regardless, we'll keep in touch. -Dave

re: Top Hat 4.6 SAI Long Block Engine...
I see you are in Berks County. I am over near Lancaster, PA. Just replaced head gaskets on a 4.6 SAI (D2-2004) and figuring I may be interested in a rebuild motor. I saw your post and wanted to see what you were planning to do with the motors and possible price. I figure the motor I have will last another year or two and would want to do something local. Thanks - Dave
