Greetings...I have an 08 LR3 HSE. I regularly get a "bonnet open" or "Transmission Fault!" in my message center. Oddly, whenever these appear and I lock the truck with the fob the alarm will activate shortly there after. I replaced the hodd switch w OEM from British Atlantic. I replaced the battery, as advised through other threads. Still, I get the same messages. Also, the tranny operates fine except it will not shift into sport mode and the "D" remains lit full time. Any clues? I could take it to my local dealer but am very reluctant. I am a decent shade tree mechanic and those for don't have the best rep. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for responding to my 2006 LR3 door question.....when you say new latches are you talking about a complete actuator assembly? I went on the topix site and pulled as much as I you think it may be a handle release connection not working?
I get the interior lock but not exterior lock on the right side doors. The actual handle lock moves but not much. One last question on the topix site the workshop manual gives you a description of the part but I could not find the actual part numbers...where would I find specific part numbers? Thanks for the help.

either the vehicle had warped heads or something else was installed incorrectly. Its possible the vehicle has stuffed radiator. and if it was the fan you would see it either work or not.

So I've got this 99" that I just bought (with conditions) and the owner is telling me he did the heads at 118K, he sat 133K now and says he has "random overheating" ???? he is broke has no way to fix it so Im trying to get it diagnosed there so I know whether or not I can get it home. He thinks its either the radiator, or the fan clutch or ??? Im wondering if he usedWalmart head gaskets and they have failed ??? Any thoughts
