D2 Prerunner Style Bumper

Just about finished with a bummper I've been building for my D2. The main tube is 2" x .140 wall, the hoop and front supports are 1.75" x .120 wall, and the side supports are 1.5" x .065 wall. The brackets are 1/4" plate. Should have the skid done and powder coating done by next week. I've got around $50 in metal and around 15-20 hours in it. This is my first fab job, so let me know what ya'll think!

That turned out real nice with the skid. Are you wanting to build your truck into a prerunner?

I mainly built it for the better clearance and approach angle at stock height. The approach angle is around 55 degrees now. It'd take a lot to build it into a legit prerunner, and being in college, I don't have the money haha. I plan on building most of my stuff as a prerunner style though, its cheap, light, and functional. I'm helping a friend do a prerunner build on an old f150 right now though, so that's where the whole idea/design came from.

You need to get that truck to SAE at Windrock this Sept.!

Thanks for the heads up on that! Didn't even know it existed. I'll try to make that for sure, especially since I go to UT. That's only a 40 minute drive!
