DI Camshaft Upgrade

I have a 1998 DI 4.0L (HSE) with stock OBDII fuel/ignition management systems. My question are...

Does anyone make a camshaft (in the old days referenced as "Torquer", "RV", or similar) that would enhance low-end performance. Something on the order of off-idle to mid-RPM powerband (1100-3500 RPM) as this is where the bulk of my driving happens?

What are choices for performance enhancing goodies (hedders, camshaft, etc.)

Thoughts???:D

A couple of thoughts, drop a 4.6 cam in, lot of people like the improvement it makes.
Other then that realize that too much of a cam change won't do much for you unless you plan on re working the heads so they breath better.
Post this question in our Discover section and well as the LRO and the LRRF, you should get some feed back from others who have done this.

Thanks Mike!

I have been on the sidelines using this forum for a little while (and digging away) and one thing that I've noticed is the tireless time and information that you have given the users of this forum. This is by no means "all-inclusive", but being a retired SM from Land Rover sure gives us the knowledge necessary for our projects....so THANKS!

The 4.6L camshaft is a direct "bolt-in" replacement???

I know this is an old thread, but there is a company called RPi engineering and im pretty sure they use Piper cams on their rover engines... pretty sweet site, you should check it out, if i ever stumble across $6000 i will call them immediately. http://www.v8engines.com/
