Ideas for paint problem on roof/ideas

5 Attachment(s)
As ya'll can see I've paint coming off the roof above the windshield is there anything I can do to cover this up besides a whole new paint job? Decal or anything? Also I am transferring the 500s on the brushguard to the roofrack, gonna put 3000's on the brushguard instead. Also if there are any other ideas ya'll may have I all ears. I am installing a lift next.

Plasti dip the roof in flat black or buy a rattle can at automotivetouchup.com and a can of clear.

@Abran what is plasti dip?

It started as the dip you dunk your tool handles in to give them a rubberized plastic coat, but now they make a spray can. It's super easy to apply, you can roughly mask off the area and peel off the masking tape and the paint will separate at natural intersections, like your rain gutters. It's super forgiving when painting and almost "self levels" when sprayed too thick or with small drips.

Check you tube for" plasti dip my car".

You are going to love the stuff. If you have Lowes near you you can order 6 cans of any color they make for the cheapest I have found it.

The best is, you don't like it, you can start an edge and peel it off, but it's durable. I did my rims and there great.

They also have a glossifier to make the finish satin.

would this be an acceptable way to reseal my windows without taking them out of the frame? I'm looking at it, and want to do it to my hood as well.

It would not seal a leak, you would need to use some silicone for that. When you say windows, do you mean windshield or is there more?

I removed my alpine windows to repair rust, then added silicone in the valley of the rubber gasket just to make sure they were water tight. I used factory matched paint in a rattle can from automotivetouchup.com, worked great

not windshield, but the back ones near the jumpseats in the back, they are all cracked, and fried looking. They don't leak, but would like for them to look better. My back sunroof is one leaking.

Most people seal off the sunroofs. Is the sunroof leaking ior are your drain hoses clogged and backing up creating the leak? There is a water catch tray that drains on both sides.

My rear cargo area gaskets are cracked as well, but not leaking. You can get some black silicone/RTV and repair(I think this looks bad) or buy new gaskets. They are around $50 a piece.

My rear cargo door glass gasket is cracked as well, but I pulled a good one from a D2 and will install next week.
