Tire Options
Looking for some input on what the pros and cons are on getting new tires....
Currently running 285/85 R16s muds on my 1996 Disco I am looking to improve the handling a bit and looking at a couple of options... have not decided wether to go with an AT tire os something like the Michelin Defender. I have tire guys at Costco and Discount tire throw out 235/85 R16 and 245/75 R16
The truck is lifted 2inches
What do you fellas think?
Thanks

Are you mainly concerned about tread pattern or size or do you have rubbing issues? You mention handling, but what are you experiencing, body roll? Me, l believe the 285/75R16 is the best looking tire size for the Dl and Dll. Fills the wheel-well nicely and looks appropriate. M/T tires can be a bit noisy, but they sure are nice off-road. I'm eventually going to get another set of rims, so l can run A/T tires daily and swap the M/T tires for the weekend/week long adventure trips. Well, that is unless my wife finds out about these plans...then all hopes will be dashed...lol.
Nice looking rover you have there, also.
