Default Discovery 1 Rear Lamp Guards

So guys, overall; I recommend these. But, they're a pain to install. It's one of those things where you learn from one mistake and fix it on the next go around, except in my case there were a ton of prior mistakes.

Anyways, I got them installed tonight with help from my father after about 2.5 hours. I also installed my refurbished brush guard.

Don't worry, pictures will be here tomorrow!

Aren't those the same lamp guards that come stock on some Alpine White discos? My disco came with 'em when I got it, but I have seen as many with the guards as without them. I've always wondered what the story was on those...

Anyway, I like the particular style quite a bit; they are aesthetically pleasing as well as durable.

Definitely. I got them sandblasted and applied some fancy primer and paint, they turned out well in my opinion.

I think they were a factory option? I'm not sure

i like them on, if you do keep them on make sure to check on them every so often. I've been told that people like ripping the guards off... go figure

I have never had a problem with obstacles on a trail knocking out the guards. Every time they have come out was a result of some goofball molesting my rig. I should probably reinstall them so they are more people proof.

Do you have the instructions? I bought a used set, and would like to know the process. For the past few days, I couldnt find anything on the web.

Looking for any help possible.

Thanks!

Seconded.

Honda50r, if you wouldn't mind posting a brief walkthrough, I would be most appreciative. I'm looking to reinstall mine and it looks like you did a better job at it than whomever originally installed the guards on my rover.

I'm out of town and accessing online (I love the mobile version.) But I'll try when I arrive back in town.
