Add console cooler
 

2018 Discovery HSE Lux does not have the console cooler, is this something that could be added easily (ie is it wired already)

Mine has it...I would prefer not to have it. It really doesn't work all that well. It might keep things "cool" but not cold. I prefer a big ole Yeti and that works fdr me.I'm guessing start to finish you would be looking north of 600+ to add it.

It’s only a cooler, not a refrigerator. So just designed to keep drinks cold in an already cool car (basically it cools thins down by like 25 degrees below ambient). LR sell one you can put on the middle rear seat for similar money.
But for a little more you can get a true refrigerator (with a compressor) in the trunk that will keep stuff truly cold even in a hot parked car, that’s what I have. Granted you have to fetch drinks from it when you pull over, but it cools 10 times better...

I had it in my first D5 that I wrecked. My replacement doesn’t have it and I’m happy without it. The storage box is larger without it and doesn’t constantly make a clinking metal on metal noise from the stuff inside shifting around. Plus if you want to use it for the intended purpose, you have to drag all your junk out and put it somewhere so you can put a drink in. Bottom line is it only cooled while the car was running and in Fl they get hot quick. I’m a lot happier with the extra storage

I have one in my LR3. I hardly use it. I do not have one in my D5. I am glad I do not have it, I prefer the storage. I use a Yeti. works much better
