Leaking Transmission on MY2017

Found this TSB on NHTSA site regarding the issue I am having with my new Discovery.
Issue started 20 days new and 600 miles.
As of today it has been in the dealership for last 30 days.

My dealership has swapped out 2x transmission oil pans and a new transfer case.
Yesterday I was informed that it now needs a new transmission which is currently on national backorder status.

If your DV is having similar issue, please check if your VIN matches to the range below.

January 3, 2018 MANUFACTURER COMMUNICATION NUMBER: SSM73709 ATTACHM

Stick a large piece of cardboard under the truck after a nice drive. Any HVAC condensation will evaporate clean and only oil left behind.
The collection spot is the lowest point of the exhaust pipes which is in line with the door mirrors. Bring that to the dealer for reference too.
Insist they do a road test after they attempt any repairs because transmission needs to build up pressure to push fluid out of the pores of the metal casing.

Good luck. I hope your dealership will provide better loaner vehicles. I have been driving a Discovery Sport SE for a month now. (Hornburg Santa Monica)

Hornburg Santa Monica has Enterprise Car Rental handle their loaner program. I have been driving their loaner Discovery Sport SE for 30 odd days now. According to my SA, my transmission is due to arrive on June 19th. Their typical choices of loaner cars are Jaguar XE / XF / RR Evoque / Discovery Sport SE

Buy a Disco and drive a Disco Sport SE .... The Land Rover experience haha

I am glad your dealer went straight to the transmission swap route. Mine went thru multiple parts before getting to the transmission swap approved. Picking mine up on Monday. 45 days later.....
