Default Question: Playing music through phone, directly plugged through USB port

I recently purchased a disco 5 and tried playing music through my phone while directly plugged into the USB port. The music plays through the cars sound system but at a faster pace and a higher pitch. Has anyone else run into this same issue?

Thank you for your time.

Haven’t had that problem. I’m much happier not plugging the phone into the USB ports in the center console that connects to the InControl system. Just power it from a dumb usb port and connect through Bluetooth audio. That has been rock solid for me. No more apps and phone fighting for control.

Are you not also connected via bluetooth? I am fairly certain that the audio streams over bluetooth while the InControl system communicates via the USB tether. Try disabling BT on your phone, and seeing if the music streams. If it does not, remove your vehicle from your phone's BT memory, and then pair it with the system again. If when you disable BT the music still streams, enable BT and pair with your vehicle to see if that fixes your audio issues. I would also recommend power cycling your phone prior to trying this.

I found this true as well. I use the dumb USB power below the cupholders (seems to charge faster too) and connect via Bluetooth.

Same here, I put a charger in the 12v in front of the cup holders with a short power cord and the phone sits in the tray connected via bluetooth. No fuss.
I tried the connected USB and sometimes it doesn't connect and says to unlock the phone or unplug/re-plug the phone.
