I have a 2017 diesel and love it. Driven nearly 10k miles since Feb and have averaged in the high 20's for mpg.
Just fyi, I moved from a 2015 Jeep GC Overland with a V8. A car which I really liked. This one just takes it up another notch.
A couple of things to note:
1. There are a few software glitches/quirks. Hopefully being resolved.
2. It's bigger than the JGC with more blind spots.

Awesome! Thank you! Have you looked at tuning it? I had a 14 JGC overland with the ecodiesel and the GDE tune was worth every penny. Got rid of turbo lag and actually made it more reliable.
Im basically in the market due to lemon law so my 2017 GMC Sierra SLT is being handed over. Im looking at the low mile used ones and see a few ‘17 CPO that I think I’m going to try for. It’s about a $5k difference for the diesel so still tossing that around.

As for tuning...well mine is a lease (though I may purchase at the end). However, I haven't been disappointed with the power. Yes, there's a bit of turbo lag, but when it kicks in it'll really move.

Buy the Diesel - I did! Combined 26 MPG with over 3000 miles on the clock. Regular highway commute in excess of 30 MPG. Outstanding vehicle and same drivetrain as the Range Rover - check the YouTube Range Rover road test pulling a trailer up to Eisenhower tunnel in Colorado and you will be sold. Buy it smart though - Might be better (more economical) to get a new 2018 Diesel SE custom to order and pick the options you really want, especially if buying and keeping for the long haul. Best of luck.
