Welcome to the forum :)

Good news first-03s are known for a horrible oil pump failure that will take out your engine. You do not fall in the VIN range so you're safe from that :D

Now the bad news (not too bad though) you need to have your front drive shaft rebuilt with greasable U joints. The factory non greasable ones can fail and take out your tranny.

Are you looking to do much off roading with it or all street driving?

Thanks for checking the vin i hadn't been by the dealer yet to have that checked either.
You get a beer or something.
Yes i did read about the greasable ujoints thing, not sure yet on the off-roading quantity we'll see how much i like it.
I dropped a couple classes and felt i needed another car for some reason and always admired the quirkyness of the LR Discos and felt it was a reasonable gamble at that price. I'm about to do intake gasgets on a e39 540 (vally pan gasket) so i figure if my gear selector switch goes out i can swap that in no time.

Any DIY's on the rebuild of the front axels, i'll write one up if need be.
