Looking to buy for the first time
 

Hi! I'm Nicholas, and I am looking to buy a Land Rover for the first time. I am a young college student, looking to buy a used Discovery, or Range Rover. I am looking in the 10k-15k price range, and many have shown up to match that price, and pique my interest. I honestly know close to nothing about Land Rovers, except they are verycool cars, and I have always wanted one. I have a few questions/concerns, and would appreciate if someone could help me out.

1) Should I wait until I can get a brand new one?
2) Are they reliable cars, enough to get me through 3 years of college?
3) Same question as #2, but for a used LR?
4) Are they expensive to fix?
5) Let me know if there is anything else I need to consider.
