New D2 owner from utah!
Hi
I just bought a 2003 D2 with 115,000k. The seller recently had the head gaskets done and the 120,000k service done. Already taken it off road and it really suprised me how well it climbs considering the street tires on it now! Runs great and I'm happy to be part of the rover community!
Thanks to this site and users i had an idea what to look for when before i bought it!
thanks all, Weston.

Gentlemen - welcome, and be sure to examine your front drive shaft, if not greasable on the big end, it can split, and then knock a hole in the tranny. Rebuild info in our tech area.
As for temp, be sure you understand that what you see on the oem gauge is 50%, from about 130 - 240F. You have to use a live data scanner to know what is really going on. Murphys's Law says you are overheating and don't know it.

speck where abouts in florida do you live? My dad lives in fort myers, if i didnt have my job here i'd be in florida! and savannah is 199-203 safe temps for the rover? i drove around with my scanner reading live data last night, after doing some muddin my o2 sensors aren't to happy with life and i got an ses light. Thankfully mine already has the front drive shaft replaced with a greaseable one!
