New Discovery II Owner

Gentlemen (and potentially Ladies),

I'd like to introduce myself as a new 2003 Land Rover Discovery II SE7 owner. I've been eyeing them for some time and after finding out my wife was expecting our first, I felt it was time to depart with my Wrangler TJ with no doors or top, a 9" lift and 37" tires and get something a bit more practical.

Bottom line - I am thrilled to finally be a Discovery owner. I picked up this beauty with 66,000 miles for a pretty competitive price. I have a lot of ideas in the works - Fender flare removal, stereo upgrade, 2" lift and 32" tires, etc...

But here she sits as I bought her. Incredibly clean interior. The only real issue is some oxidation on the roof that I'll have to attempt to take care of.

Anyway, I'm very glad to be here.

I've been readig here for a while now, bought an 04 about 3 weeks ago, and finally joined.
There are alot of great people here willing to help.
Their advice has saved me a tremendous amount of time and frustration, not having to learn on my own how Land Rover does things.

That is welcome to hear Sixpack.

I spent the majority of yesterday installing a stereo and removing the plastic fender flares. Removal was easy with a blow drier and a little pressure. Cleaning up the remainder of the automotive tape was a nightmare. It took about an hour at each corner. That being said, it looks great now!

Just have to work on the lift and tires now and I'll be set.

She's a little dusty after getting detailed last weekend, but here you go. Desperately in need of a lift and some bigger tires. Currently sweet talking the wife....

Also, anyone happen to know what part is missing here in the area that I drew a circle around? The previous owner said he lost the part.
