Sand Beaches / LR4 ?
 

Hello All: I have been lurking for a while but I finally pulled the trigger and joined. Great Site, tons of great info, so thanks for all your contributions.

My wife and I have a summer little weekend place by the ocean beach and having a 4X4 that can wade in case of emergency is mandatory.

Have a few questions.

Which rover in your opinion does best on Sand? I found the Sand mode in the LR4 interesting on paper. Anyone have first hand experience with it?

Is there anything I should do to prevent rust (other than staying away from salt:eek:)?

If there are any fisherman here, I would also love to know how your rigged for transporting your gear / rods.

That should work....or for less $$$ a used LR3 has the same.
