still weighing my supercharger options.
I would go the eaton route, but the cost of fabrication of manifold/mounting plate has been a deterrent. I found a guy selling this. comp safari set up, on UK fleabay. I am not sure of any details, except these units have been installed on many rv8 engines.:rolleyes: problem is that the seller knows about as much as me. from what I gather, this was meant for a tvr project. the seller is not giving a ton of info. just that he would pass on the manufacturer info/ details/ contact, if I buy the thing. (real helpful)
I'm going off of picture. it's a rv8 kit so it looks like I would just need to modify a lower intake to accept this little guy. does this assumption sound/look about right?

Should be fun sorting that out. I'll be easily cruising up hills at 70 plus with my stock 4.6 while you are trying to make that setup run.


I'm telling you, just build a nice 4.6 with a cam that isn't wiped out and be done with it. These stock motors go for hundreds of miles without any issues.

If you're looking to boost a stock RV8, it will die a short death. It's been done plenty of times before to know the result. It is possible to build a RV8 for boost, but it would cost more than the supercharger itself. Instead, you could build a normally aspirated RV8 that would be safer and have more power than a boosted stock one for much less money. There's tons of tech info on building Rover V8's. They're almost as popular as small block chevys.

Yep. Done all that I can w/o 5.0 or 5.2 stroke, and wanted to supercharge also. Should be better suited than the some of the previous special vehicle preparations with the m90

If your going the Eaton M90 route you might want to think about your rear two pistons. The rear pistons will be starved of air. There is a video bouncing around on you tube/ the wedge shop over the pond of a defender with an M90. I was also looking into the swap, you will need an eaton M112 to feed all 8 pistons with the correct CFM.

I contacted a gentleman out in Colorado that used to build a kit for the 4.2/3.9 Rover blocks. He still makes them "custom order". He quoted me for an Eaton M90, and I dint like the CFM delivery to the block. If your looking for a supercharger the Nissan Xterra has an Eaton M112 in it. Found for somewhat cheep.

I'm also experimenting with water meth injection for the supercharger swap... you will need to do water/meth or a 9th fuel injector to cool the SC. I Didn't want another fuel injector and my experiments with the water methanol injection are going well.

I was trying to find a better fitment than the eaton, due to the coverage concerns. for now I plan to stick na, and see how it does.
