04-03 disco trans/transfer swap

I have a wrecked 2004 disco and I am currently looking at an 2003 disco to replace her. Has anyone swapped out the transfer cases from an 04 to an 03? I ask only so that i can have a diff lock in the 03. Is it even possible?
