Default D2 Insurance in the US

I would be interested to learn how much insurance costs in the US on a D2 for highway use both for comprehensive (all risks) and third party risks or minimum insurance. It would make an interesting comparison with european premiums or charges.

I have full coverage on mine and a $50 deductible and I pay around $85 US a month. Which includes Roadside assistance with 3 tows a year. (just in case)

Progressive:
Liability insurance: $190
Full Coverage: $415

Statefarm:
Full Coverage plus roadside: $183 per month with "hefty deductible".

Prices are even worse in Massachusetts.

Being English and having a Disco 2 in Virginia, in my opinion the insurance premiums are at least 30% more than in the UK.
Might have something to do with the medical costs here!!!--oh and LAWYERS
On the other side--- gas/petrol is still much cheaper,no way would I run a V8 and 15mpg in England.

Many thanks you guys for the info. It is interesting how much you pay which is in line with France but more expensive than the UK, but, obviously there are many criteria that has to go into the mix but too complex for a forum straw poll. At my tender age and superb driving record the UK is far cheaper than France for me but I have to admit France has atrocious driving standards and the road death rate twice that of the UK for approximately the same population. In France I pay €485 per annum for all risks whereas the UK was £225 for the same but 4 years ago. Both includes breakdown cover but offhand I can't remember the accident excess in both cases, I would guess approximately £200+pa. But I am ancient, 69 this year, and cheaper insurance is one of the very few benefits once over 65 years old. As in France and the UK, the insurance rates in the US appear to vary greatly from state to state. Ironically, because certain things are cheaper in the US one naturally assumes car insurance would be as well - a bit of a misconception on my part.
