Dealership Woes
Sort of new to Land Rover (not 100% true, was a British Army Soldier and worked on Series III and Defenders for the Military) as an owner and I recently purchased a 2019 LR Disco Sport SE - beautiful vehicle, with a bunch of things wrong with it, Certified Pre Owned, with a list of "we owe" to cover the defects.
I have had the car nearly two weeks, I have heard nothing from the Dealership, I call and am promised a swift response - but nothing. I received the Land Rover CSAT email - asking me how the dealership did, and I have promised the dealership I wont fill it in until the end, but Im losing faith..... what should I do? Any one else had bad experiences at the Main Dealer? Is this "Normal"? Should I escalate to JLR ? |
Dealership has finally collected my car and given me a loaner - a Range Rover Sport (with a smashed windscreen), So things are moving forward and the loaner (windshield aside) is a beautiful machine.
The previous generation of RR Sport was always a dissapointment to me, I am too tall to drive one without laying the seat back too far, this new design is lovely. We shall see if the dealership honors the snag list and warranty. |
Interesting.

owned the car 3 months before I’d had enough and got rid. the dealership has it on and off 10 weeks of the 12 I owned it. Every time it came back a new issue surfaced, finally - the thing just stank of gasoline. traded out at another brand dealership. was a totally terrible experience start to finish, didn’t expect such bad service and support from an elite British marque. never to be repeated. |
