Insulating a garage door

Exterior color of door?
My white doors never get warm/hot to touch with direct sun during summer afternoons w/o insulation. Insulation would obviously help prevent some cooling/heating loss. I wouldn't overthink your alternatives to much unless door is dark color and gets sun 12 hours a day.
How's the insulation above garage ceiling and roof above?
Have a similarly sized portable a/c with heat pump in my 2x garage will drop/raise temps and lower humidity but a bit expensive to run. Air intake/exit needs a hole. The water collection tank needs to be emptied frequently or a drain plumbed.

AR, try 2" thick polystyrene sheet foam insulation board and glued on with spray glue used for carpet tiles. It really depends on what U value you are trying to achieve. You can also paint foam sheet with either emulsion or gloss paint. The more expensive option is the same type of foam sheet but closed cell type.

Basically going for the most bang for the buck. I was hoping to work on this over the long weekend. Instead, I diagnosed the AC failure in the Expedition, the low oil pressure light on the Saab, replaced both front shocks and fabbed a exhaust system on the Expedition.
Oh lets not forget the LR3 and it's park assist going insane. I need to go back to work to relax...
