Just wanted to know if the ACE system can be fitted to a late 03/04 Disco?

I've heard that the ACE system has some bugs and that a lot of people would prefer without, and I know that this feature was only added to some Disco's but I'm very interested in the system and I just wondered if ACE could be fitted to a 2003/4 Discovery that does not come fitted with ACE stock?

It would cost you a fortune to do and yes it can be done.

Can you please elaborate? and by fortune are we talking about $1,000 or $10,000? I'm serious about this so I'd like as much info as possible. Thanks much.

Here you go, just price all these components and labor to install and program. May save some if you are very good DIY and have a donor vehicle in good repair at salvage yard. However, if you make a mistake it could result in un-desired Rover rolling.... Note that in some cases certain parts on the non-ACE unit need to be upgraded as well.

Thanks for the PDF Savannah! If I ever had to perform this job then I'd probably try buying most of the needed parts from a part-out Disco 2, and just install it that way and add any needed modifications - rather then buying all the parts new and spending $$$$$$. I don't see why a lot of people wouldnt want the ACE system but its preference I suppose. The way I see it this ACE system is one of the many highlights that separates the Discovery from all it's competitors. The other 4x4 are just that "part time four wheel drive", nothing more nothing less.

I have a friend that removed his working ACE to accomodate a 5" lift. He has all the parts available, Pm me with your number if interested.
