Engine Santana 2500

I can't find out what engine the Santana 2500 is based on.
Is it the same as the Defender 2.5 diesel?

If not. Please, give some information

Not sure. But parts on my 1991 Defender Santana have been easier to find then people seem to think on here...

I have a couple Santanas and they are 2500DL 2.5 NA Diesel land rover engines just replaced the starter. Got it from LRdirect.
