land Rover will launch the first ever two-wheel drive this fall

Land Rover will introduce its first ever two-wheel-drive vehicle in its history this fall.

The car is expected to use the same engine as the LRX range, a 2.2 liter diesel engine that uses turbocharging to offer 185 hp (this has been developed by the Peugeot Citroen Alliance), mate to a six speed manual transmission as standard, making the LRX the first manual Range Rover since the second-generation model, replaced in 2002.

Land Rover has adopted the FWD design to lower both the price and the CO2 emissions. The vehicle is expected to post a figure of under 130 grams of C02 per km.

confirmed.Still, the land rovers are well-known as good reliable cars for years so, maybe, they will have plenty of costumers;"time proves everything", as Camus once said, let's wait and find out.

Not the first. Land Rover had a 2WD in the 60's I think it was. Might have been the late 50's.
