ready for a classic, need information...

Well the say has finally come, I sold my D1 and have begun the search for a 1978 (my birth year) Land Rover. Anything besides the usual corrosion I need to be aware of? I am looking for a project, so I am expecting lots of work. Any advice is appreciates.

see Land Rover Manuals

Parts may not be as easy to get, but the electrical manual is probably about 1 page.

Thanks, the series 3 manual will be a good read! I am excited about getting started on one, just need to find a good one first.

I don't think land rover imported any thing after 77, until the Range Rover in the mid 80's. So for you to find a 78 it is going to be grey market, probably from England, so expect some corrosion.

I guess I need to do some more research, I am not too hung up on the year, more so the series. I would rather have a left hand drive for ease of daily driving and going through security check points at work.
