WORKS WITH GEMS OR BOSCH ENGINE MANAGEMENT

In sturdy wood crate protected with Cosmoline wax and heavy plastic wrap; engine is brand new.

Fits Defender 90, Defender 110, P38 Range Rover, Discovery I and Discovery II.

Currently set up for GEMS but easily converted to Bosch with small modification to Crank Position Sensor mount. If you have a Bosch truck I will change the CPS mount for you as part of the purchase price.

This is a 'red' short block from early in the manufacturing run that passed Land Rover's most stringent aluminum casting quality inspection. Date of build approximately 1996.

Red blocks were reserved for Land Rover's most expensive vehicles, the Defender and P38 Range Rover. These engines don't have the typical overheating and noise issues found in the later 4.6 V8s used in the Discovery II.

Engine manufactured approximately 1996. I purchased as NOS in 2016. Always stored indoors and dry in OEM crate wrapped in thick plastic.
