Ok guys I tried for the past year to be a land rover guy. All it landed me was far deep down the rabbit hole and without a reliable drive to work. I have a 03 d2 that starts and technically drives. It just has a slipped sleeve and a vaccuum leak some where. I had a local land rover mechanic ( dude re builds engines from home and does a bang up job actually.) tell me that he can install a running engine for 1800 which includes the new engine and the labor of removing the old one and installing the new. Or he can rebuild the used engine he has and install for 2600 and make it even more reliable. I don't have the money for this and I need a different ride. The truck has a replaced radiator, and the cooling system is doing great no leaks. Even though this engine starts though its days are numbered. Please come take this thing off my hands....
