I've reluctantly decided to sell mine to free up space for my 109 build. Its a rust free, 1997 SD 5 speed (cloth interior, manual seats).

I was going to fully restore it as it's a superb candidate but the 109 build now has my full attention. I have a second parts car that I was originally going to take the rear AC and jump seats from to add to my SD but as of right now, the SD is completely stock except for...

The original owner had the car Zebra striped with vinyl when he special ordered the car. (it was the last 97 SD manual that came to the USA). I was always torn on whether to retain or lose the stripe as my kids love the dammed thing and force me to pull it out every time we go to the zoo.

I know the first owner here in Seattle that had the car for the bulk of its life, and the owner previous to me, who used it as her ski car (She worked at Big SKy, in MT)

Fast forward 20 years and Zebra is still rocking the stripes. And yes, my eldest son is holding a weird Zebra mug. They fricking love this car and will be devastated when it’s magicaly not there anymore.

I’d buy this if it was a few hours away.
