Unhappy Air Suspension Inactive Sign Range Rover 2005 TDV6

We have a 2005 TDV6 Range Rover - having carried a good weight of patio slabs ( may have been a bit over zealous at 90).. we notice that the Air Suspension Inactive sign has come on. When we offloaded the vehicle the suspension on the back rose as high as ever seen it.. when we restarted the car - the whole vehicle back to normal middle positon.
Problem: The height indicator light stays on and it seems to be locked in the middle positon with the air suspension inactive sign still on. We have turned the lock to the hard left and then hard right and run it having let it cool down but some 3 hours after first noticing this.. it is still the same.. Anyone got any constructive ideas - or point us in right direction as to what to do next?

Wow, not sure what the exact cause is bit here is a thought. With all the weight in the truck while driving the system would have inflated the bags with more air than normal to handle the load. While off loading the truck raises up possibly extending the hieght sensors higher than they should go or would go under a normal load and damaging them.

I wonder if when you had got home to offload if you would have lowered the suspension to load mode and took it down to the bump stops before unloading if you would not have tis problem. I would take it to the dealer to see what the computer says, but I am betting you need new height sensors.

Godd Luck.

thanks rob - the warning came on when driving home not when we stopped so will check the sensors first. Any other suggestions out there ?? thanks in advance

in making that much weight raise up to where the vehicle should sit normally, youre asking a lot from your compressor, it was up to the task, as it managed to level itself out, however, if the light came on while driving, id say you might have burnt up the compressor.

Default Did you get the issue fixed

I am having a similar problem both the RR 3 months ago and already fed up lol. Started with a front left EAS lead changed that still drop on the same side swapped the height sensor with an used one started acting funny all corners goe up over off road height while sensors reading middle height put the old sensor back in with just a better arm get HDC and EAS inactive message with ABS brake and the triangle light on. Used to get can bus and air suspension faults with the allcoms toll now get power steering angle sensor and EAS inactive message. Front end in bump stop and rear in high way height. Thinking about coils spring convertion
Cheers
