Default Cruise control not working

When I press the master switch for the cruise control and then press the set button I hear a slow clicking of a relay not switching over from under the dash. When I turn the switch off the clicking stops. Is there a relay for the cruise control somewhere? I looked in the repair manual and its not very complete on the subject. Thanks

Make sure you ask for a "vacuum" hose at the auto parts store. Ask for at least 3ft, I asked for 6 feet. Just cut them to the appropriate length and then connect them.

If it is not the vacuum lines, there is an easy to follow troubleshooting guide on the Rave CD. And yes, there is a relay. It is called the cruise inverter. I am not sure what it does but it looks like a tall red relay. It is under the dash on the driver's side, to the left of the steering column.

I checked the vacum lines and they are cracked almost all the way though. I will replace them next time I go to town. The cables are ajusted properly though. I must have missed the troubleshooting guide, I'll take another look at that as well.
