Default Engine will not go over 2000rpms back fires at intake and bogs.

This 1998 4.6 HSE P38,is killing me,just wont go over 2000 rpm.I swapped air mass, coil pack and wires, replace spark plugs, fuel filter, checked fuel pressure 35 psi, separated cats from exh manifolds, checked tp sensor for proper operation found ok.Does any one ever come across this problem before?I,m starting to think may the timing gear stripped some teeths? At idle the engine runs fine upto 2000 rpms than it starts to buck and back fires at the intake manifold any heads-up will help.
