I use an Intravee which allows you to change tracks etc. using the steering wheel buttons and also the tracks are displayed on the nav. screen. It's pretty good, but quite expensive and not particularly slick. You also lose the CD changer, as it taps into the BMW iBus system using the CD changer connectors.

This is where I got mine :

These guys used to be the only UK supplier (but I don’t know if they still are).

The Intravee basically allows the connection of Alpine’s AiNET equipment onto the BMW iBus used in ‘02-‘04 Range Rovers (Note – this changed for 2005MY), so you will also need the Alpine iPod interface.

There’s an Intravee forum here if you want to do some more research :

Regarding alternatives, it might be worth searching on the RangeRovers.net forum

Look for a 12 volt modulator. Crutchfield sell a unit for around $50 that plugs directly into the antenna wire between the stereo head and the antenna. It has an input for the Ipod. I haven't actually tried one but I'm looking for a better solution than the 12 volt FM modulator I currently use which is susceptible to FM interference.
