Looking to buy RR Classic LWB
I have always been fascinated by Range Rover of old and especially like what the LWB has to offer. I own a Series II Disco and have owned a couple Series I Discos before. What should I be looking for in these Classic RRs. I am also very interested in the Air Suspension and I know they are more intensive to maintain but it is what I am looking for. Sadly most of them have been converted to coils. What does it take to bring the back to air? The Arnott airsprings look like a good option. What more is there to know about the P38 engine conversion? Thank you all in Advance.

Well to familiarize yourself with the classic, I would start with this site: Index of Range Rover Mechanical Information
There are lots of details on them. I've found the classics to be great rigs, but it can be difficult to diagnose their problems because of their lack of OBD II. I would try to get a 95 classic LWB. It has the most modern electronics and they seem to be "tamer" than the other classics. Aside from the EAS and different electronics, the rest of the classic is virtually the same as the Discovery I. Since you are familiar with Discovery, it should not take you long to find your way around a classic.

14cux is difficult to diagnose? To who? Not if you go out and buy a multi meter for $30
And how is a D2 like a RRC? They both have land rover badges on them... I'll give you that much.

I got your 95
just looking at your post, I recently gave my son my 95 RR classic LWB. I was the second owner and have babied it since the day I got it. It still has the air suspension and has been a wonderful truck!! Only problem is my son now can not take care of her like she needs to be,(new baby). He got it as his collage grad present, as I purchased a 00 beautie with 43000 on her. It is a great truck if your are interested please let me know
