Default sunroof wind noise around 70mph - error book icon on heater display

Hi,

I have a 4.6 HSE 2000 model and the sunroof catch seems to release or something at around 70mph.

Once I get to around this speed I can here wind noise at the front of the sunroof and the heater display shows the 'book' icon and a '!'.

Could someone please suggest why this is happening an how to fix it?

Thanks.

The book symbol means something is wrong with the HVAC. It is usually an indication that a blend motor is on the way out. One of mine finally stopped working and only blows cold air at the passenger. Thankfully it was stuck in the cold position all summer . I would check your sunroof seals. Push on it slightly and see if you can find and Opening where the wind might make it's way in.
