Am in the midst of simultaneously parting out my d1 with a terrafirma 3" lift and fixing up a 97 vitesse. I am curious if this shock/spring combination will work on the p38 or if it is much different. The previous owner already did a coil conversion so that aspect is taken care of, it would be a straight up shock/spring swap. I am aware that the p38 is probably 700-800 lbs heavier

 

I think if memory serves it will all work but the front shocks. I think they have different mounts than the d1. Of course with the conversion kit they may not

 

Thanks for the input, I guess I will bite the bullet and order all new shocks and keep the springs if nobody buys the lift kit as is. Otherwise I'll find something properly suited to the p38. The tires are not the best and when I went to look for a brush guard, the local boneyard has a set of nice 70% new Cooper discoverer at3's in 265/70/18 for 160 so it seemed like it could work.

 

I'm running that size on the LR3 and they are a very tall 32" Great tires for that price though.
