What would cause two relays located under console to heat up?
I plugged in the E6 fuse located under the passenger seat and I heard a clicking noise. The noise came from two yellow fuses or relays located under the box in the console. The two relays or fuse are made by Seiman part number V23134-B52-x130 on top, it has the number R6B8 12v. What could be causing them to heat up. Both fuses or relays are hot. I unplugged one and the windows refused to go up. I don't know what the other square yellow fuse or relay controls. Is this normal? Would changing them solve the problem? Any help would be appreciatled.

RE: What would cause two relays located under console to heat up?
I'm experiencing the same thing with my 96 4.0. My A/C quit working and when I checked out the relays I found that they were so hot I couldn't touch them. One even discolored the yellow plastic and melted the plastic around the female slot that it pluggs into. What's going on there? Is there a more heavy duty relay to use? Even so, heat that melts the plastic of the fuse box doesn't sound right to me . Anyone have any insight?
