V8 3.9 Starter
 

I have a 93 with a dead starter. I was offered a brand new starter and was told its for a 3.5 V8 Model Year 87-88, but should work on a 3.9?

Part #RTC6061. Google is 50/50 on wether it would work on a 3.9 V8.

Can anyone confirm wether the new starter will work on my 93, or do I need to purchase a 3.9 V8 specific starter. Thank you.

I believe v8s and diesels have the same starter. I would go for the tdi reduction high torque starter as an upgrade.
