Looking to buy a used 2015 Range Rover, need advice.

We are currently in the market for a new (used) SUV. Range Rover has always been my favorite and I’d like to look at one. I’ve found a few 15’-16’s locally with roughly 40,000 miles on them. I’ve read endless articles on Land Rovers horrible electronic issues, but that hasn’t deterred me yet. What are some common issues, from Range Rover owners, that I could experience. And what are some issues you know I will in fact encounter. Thanks for the help.

I've had my L405 for around a year total, no issues besides a few software updates, one that added Carplay (it is a 2017).

I've had my L494 Sport for around a year as well, one water pump replaced.

My parents 2014 3.0, has had the TPMS system replaced on the rear tire for free, 2 water pumps, and brakes. I believe the last time I serviced it was at 85k miles, I believe they are trading it in on a new RR.

From my experience, and friends, these aren't overly unreliable. Biggest issue is the infotainment screen is kind of laggy and has a few bugs. But you don't buy a RR for the tech.

Go for it. Do 5-8k mile oil changes to defer timing issues as long as possible. These engines are highly dependent on good oil pressure and any sludge buildup from elongated intervals can damage the timing tensioners, variable timing phasers, and guides.

Hi, New to this site as I too am looking at a 2015 HSE with 34k on it. However I have been looking at reviews and 2 stars is common with many issues and being in the shop a lot. I am thinking maybe happy owners stay away and really to not post so only seeing negative post. We not poor but not rich either so to shell out this money is or would be our biggest car purchase to date. I am worried like others in reviews have posted it going to need repairs often. I am really leaning against this 2015 but I hope a few OWNERS can give some insight to how reliable their car has been.

The car fax only list a cooling system check and a charging system check at a dealer. No other issues reported on it Any help that can help us make up our minds to proceed or walk away is helpful at this point. This will be the wifes car and do not want he stranded along the road side
