How to disable the engine idle shutdown system
Hi, I have a 24 Range Rover Super Charged. How do I disable the engine idle shutdown system. I have a dog I like to leave in the car with the engine running. Please advise

There should be a button on the dash to let you disable the stop and start feature but you will have to engage it every time you start the car. Some folks have disabled it completely, but I would not recommend this as it may void your warranty.

I see and sorry I misunderstood your question. I do not have an answer for how to disable that. Have you tried leaving it in neutral with the parking brake engaged? I think I read somewhere that after a certain amount of time in idle, the car will shut down to conserve the battery. How about starting it with the remote app after you exit and lock the car?
Does your dealership not have a solution. Let us know what you find out as I also have pets and it would be nice to know how to disable the car from shutting down. |
